No Days Off

Being a content creator means there’s rarely a pause button. The end of one project is often the beginning of five more. Deadlines blur into brainstorming sessions, and before you can celebrate a job well done, you’re already knee-deep in planning the next three campaigns.
It’s a fast-paced, ever-changing career that demands creativity, resilience, and passion. As a content creator, I get to be a storyteller—not just for myself but for brands that entrust me with their voice. In my current role at the TD Jakes Foundation, I have the privilege of creating content that amplifies our mission, inspires communities, and connects people to meaningful opportunities. Every post, video, and campaign isn’t just marketing—it’s a chance to make an impact.
Travel is also a big part of the job. Whether it’s capturing stories on the go, attending events, or scouting locations, you’re always in motion. The suitcase becomes a workspace, and new destinations become canvases for creativity.
But this life isn’t without its challenges. The highs—like seeing your work resonate or watching a campaign flourish—are balanced by the lows, like creative blocks or the pressure of always being “on.” Yet, the grind is worth it because you know your work matters. Every caption, photo, or video contributes to something greater than yourself.
For a content creator, there truly are no days off. But when your passion and purpose collide, the hustle becomes part of the story.
